Madras High Court Rejects A. Raja’s Plea in Disproportionate Assets Case

The Madras High Court has rejected former Union Minister A. Raja’s plea to direct the CBI to place certain documents on record in the disproportionate assets case against him. Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan upheld the earlier view of a special court in Chennai, which had already refused a similar request.

The special court had said the non-production of that representation was unlikely to matter for framing charges and that Raja could still rely on unimpeachable documents in his defence.
